The world-famous Piccadilly Lights are a prized jewel in Land Securities’ London portfolio which spans a total of 6.2 million square feet. As a global business hub and talent pool, London is an iconic city and continues to evolve with stunning regeneration programmes reshaping neighbourhoods across the capital.

Our regeneration of Victoria is a great example of that. The crowning jewel in this transformation is Nova, Victoria which features a mix of world class Grade A offices, contemporary high quality apartments, and at its centre, Nova Food. Nova Food comprises of seventeen restaurants and three pop up kiosks from chefs such as Jason Atherton, Will Ricker and Adam White. Over the last ten years Land Securities has invested £2.2 billion, transforming the SW1 postcode into one of central London’s most desirable places to live, work and relax.

By creating destinations like these, we’re delivering new experiences for our customers.

At the heart of London, Piccadilly Lights serves as a glorious beacon, the famous screens reflect the changing facade of a city at the leading edge of what is possible and what is new.

Come 2018, Land Securities will have been part of Piccadilly Lights’ evolution for 50 of their 100 years. We first acquired elements of the site in 1968 and now own the island site facing Piccadilly Circus and bordered by Regent Street, Shaftesbury Avenue, Denman Street, Sherwood Street and Glasshouse Street.

Here at Land Securities, the site is known as “Monico”, an affectionate nod to the popular Victorian side street café that served Piccadilly right up until the 1950’s.

Staying true to the heritage of Piccadilly Lights while overseeing its evolution is an exciting challenge.

We’re focused on presenting a visual feast with the Lights which stimulates the senses, without detracting from the iconic location of Piccadilly. This is, after all, entertainment central and the new Piccadilly Lights represent an incredible slice of interactive theatre in the centre of theatreland.

For us, it’s all about connecting with people through the right experiences.

Locations like Piccadilly with its fabulous, iconic new Lights will serve that up in spades.
