Catherine Morgan, who heads up Ocean Labs, has been nominated for the inaugural Creative Woman of the Year award, a new initiative created by The Drum and Creative Equals.

Creative Equals – a gender diversity “kitemark”  – and The Drum’s Dream Awards which champion creative excellence, are using the award to celebrate leading women creatives in the advertising industry and encourage more to join.

Catherine joins a shortlist of 10 nominees for the title.

Earlier this year, Catherine was named as a member of Marketing Week’s prestigious Vision 100. She joined a growing collective of 300 media executives, deemed worthy of the title “visionary”. The 2016 Vision 100 inductees were selected for their ability to meet and overcome challenges and their innovative leadership.

A degree in industrial design gave Cat an eye for transforming large screens into a real digital experience. She now leads Ocean Labs, a team dedicated to creating innovative and Cannes Lions winning campaigns including Look At Me for Women’s Aid, which saw an abused woman’s bruises heal the more passers-by stopped to look at her.
